I'm just starting to realize how important the web is , especially when it comes to grass roots movements and especially when the main stream media is in the pockets of huge corporations.

I feel that as an artist I have a responsibility to put myself out there in a way that supports social change for the better so there will also be links to sites that I feel are important for people to visit in terms of getting information out there. 

www.artbygaia.com   Gaia Orion Gaia is a wonderful artist and person. I met her years ago at an art show where she was selling the tie dye clothing that her and her partner create. She was thrilled to find someone who could put images on jewelry. In the end I taught her how to do it herself and she has created a beautiful line of Jewelry with all of her own images. www.911thefinalcut.com  Loose Change This is one of the first documentaries that came out after 9/11  that exposed the horrible truth about what really happen. It exposes how corrupt the American government was and I have it here because I feel it is important to get the truth out as this information is absent from mainstream media. www.myspace.com/markhundevadandcontrolleddemolitio  Controlled Demolition This is a band that I play percussion in. It is lead by one of Canada's top jazz drummers  Mark Hundevad and I feel privileged to be a member.The name of the band came out of a line from one of Mark's original songs about government corruption. It was a life changing experience that I will be forever grateful for. I recommend it to anyone in any form of social work, healing work or even just for personal growth. www.shineglobal.org  Shine Global, Inc. is a  film production company dedicated to ending the abuse and exploitation of children worldwide through the production of documentary films and other media that raise social awareness and effect political change.All contributions to Shine are used to produce films. Net profits are returned to the children they document through local non-governmental agencies. I found out about this company when I watched a wonderful film on the children of Northern Uganda that are living in refugee camps in their own country. It's about how they deal with being children of war through music and dance. This is such a hopeful , inspiring film .
